NORWALK ATHLETIC MASTER PLAN

NORWALK, OHIO

Behnke consulted with Norwalk City Schools’ various stakeholders to prepare an athletic master plan for their Whitney Field athletic facility.

Improvements to the facility were broken down into three phases. The first phase includes construction of a synthetic turf field, moving several track events within the D zone of the field, and new visitor bleachers. Subsequent phases replace the existing track, create additional parking, enhance the entrance, provide accessible routes of travel within the facility, replace the outdated fencing surrounding and within the facility, and provide more storage.

Behnke provided illustrative renderings for the district’s use in their fundraising effort. The projected cost of this master plan was $2 million.
