BEHNKE Landscape Architecture is the Cleveland-based leader in planning and design of award-winning outdoor places.  As landscape architects and planners focused on improving your communities, our approach, refined over the last 65+ years, drives our design of outdoor places that are vital, sustainable, and beautiful.

History

Since the 1950s, BEHNKE has been dedicated to strengthening communities throughout Northeast Ohio. Founded in 1959 in the Euclid Arcade as Behnke, Szunyog and Ness, the firm evolved into Behnke, Ness & Litten on Shaker Boulevard, and later became Behnke Associates, Inc. in 1970. Subsequent moves took the firm to University Circle and the Warehouse District. In 2013, we established our presence in the Flats and refined our identity as Behnke Landscape Architecture. In 2018, we relocated to the historic Wagner Awning Company building in Tremont.
